Art 134 Portfolio

My final portfolio followed the idea of ducks–specifically their versatility and duck syndrome. Duck syndrome is a coined phrase that represents how people hide how hard their working and struggling, either on various projects or in everyday life. This mirrors how ducks looks like they're effortlessly gliding on the surface but that's because the viewer can't see how hard they're paddling. I created a few triptychs to show how duck's versatility by representing them in the air, water, and land since there are few animals that can live in all those different spaces. For my other two groups, one is pochoir with poetry I wrote about duck syndrome which I integrated in the environment. The last group is an academic source on the background with my woodblocks reprinted on top.
